- Q: Why do you not offer budget "crush bent" performance exhaust systems?
- A: Your exhaust system is a critical component to your vehicle's performance. Mandrel bent pipes reduce backpressure by up to 35% when compared to crush bent pipes of the same pipe diameter. Mandrel bending is a process in which the tubing is supported from the inside by a mandrel during the bending process, this allows the steel to stretch on the outside of the bend and compress on the inside of the bend. This results in a constant pipe diameter and a smooth, flowing bend for increased flow and looks. We believe that there is no such thing as a crush bent "Performance exhaust" so we do not insult our customers by offering them.
- Q: Will my car need a wheel alignment if I replace shocks or springs?
- A: Yes, changing suspension components almost always results in a change of wheel alignment for the worse. So anytime we fit shocks or springs to your car we will reset your alignment FREE of charge. That way you won't wear out your expensive tyres and your car will be safer and handle better.
- Q: Do you charge for looking at my car? I think it has a problem and I need a quote.
- A: No we don't charge for "looking". We will inspect your car to find the cause of a problem and then provide you with a free quote. It's what we do for all our customers! Drop by and see just how friendly we are.
- Q: Do you explain everything that you did to my car once you've fixed it?
- A: Absolutely! It's your car after all. We don't have any secrets, we explain everything in plain English so you understand fully any modifications or tweaks we have performed on your vehicle.
- Q: There's a lot of new companies out there offering the same sort of services. What makes Total Performance stand out?
- A: Experience .We first opened our doors in 1989 and have done just about every possible thing you can do to a car in that time. Our pedigree stretches right back to Group-A and N production car racing in the 80's. Total Performance were campaigning 4WD turbo Race and Rally cars in the 90's that are now today's street machines.
- Q: Do you guarantee your work?
- A: We do more than that! We guarantee the results! When we design a suspension package for your car we guarantee you'll be pleased or we will redesign it to suit your particular requirements. If we say your new exhaust system will have a deep throaty roar (or not) then that is what you will get. We sell results not just a bunch of parts, we aren't finished till you're happy.
